I was referred by Gp for Ct scan looking for possible lung cancer due to cough (now gone) and small hard lump on back of neck been there since late Jan not grown at all.
Gp called with result said good news no lung cancer but your gall bladder is enlarged with pockets and the specialist would like blood tests.
Called me back with blood results and asked if I could make an appointment for following day which I could not,the next appoint ment would be 2 weeks later.
Same day receive a letter from respority clinic asking to ho online and make a routine appointment I did that.
Then get a call from ent clinic same day to attend a fast track appointment I am now waiting to see them.
Confused and stressed
Hi Mr worry and welcome to the Online Community but I am sorry to hear about the challenges following your CT scan and the stress this has caused.
Navigating medical tests can be very stressful and indeed confusing...... I was diagnosed with my rare incurable cancer over 24 years ago..... over these many years I have had multiple CT scan for my condition..... but these scans have thrown up other health conditions resulting in me seeing many different consultants.... including ENT and Respiratory.
ENT will be on the back of the limp on your neck....... Respiratory I am not sure about by my diversion into this area did not throw up cancer but it did show a lung anomaly.
From my point of view, do look at this positively in that you are being looked at quickly (which is very encouraging with how the NHS is at the moment) and this will help you find out if there are any issues - let's hope not.
