Cin2

Hi, I had my colposcopy back in April with a subsequent diagnosis of Cin2. I've only this week had a letter to discuss options of either management or treatment by loop diathermy. I'm not currently pregnant but my partner and I have been trying. What will happen if I fall pregnant before treatment? Would they still carry it out? Could I lose the baby? Would you stop trying until after treatment? I already have 2 kids with my ex (9 and 11 years) but we really want a baby of our own together. What would you do?

  • Hello Kyren

    Welcome to the Online Community.

I am sorry to hear that you have had a diagnosis of Cin2. It is good that you have an appointment coming up to discuss your next options. This would be an ideal time to talk about becoming pregnant and how it could affect this.

Alternatively if the appointment is several weeks away, could you perhaps discuss with your GP/Practice nurse so that you have all the information before you carry on trying for a baby?

I will pop some links below with some information that may help you, if you wanted to take a look.

We are not medically trained on here and can only give advice from our own experiences however you can call the support line and ask to speak to one of the nurses if you think that would help. The number is below. If you prefer to do online, you can post in the Ask a Nurse section and they normally get back to you with 3 days.

    I hope this helps.
