diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome dec 2022,treatment azacitidine injections ,had some blood transfusions but none for 10wks counts staying up.

Hi James flyfisherman and welcome to the Online Community but I am sorry to hear about your diagnoses.
Navigating the cancer journey can be such a stressful and challenging time but getting support from others who are dealing with the ‘exact same' cancer type can help a lot.
The Community is actually divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) so can I recommend consider joining and posting in our supportive MDS/MPN/ET/PV/myelofibrosis (MF) support group. This is a safe place to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support. I also have a rare blood cancer so I will keep an eye open for you in the group.

You can put up your own post and introduce yourself to the group by clicking “+new” or “+” in the top right next to the group title. You can copy and paste the text from this post into your new post. You can also scroll through other members posts and click “Reply” to get involved.
It’s a challenging time for you so you may want to use the Macmillan Support Line is open 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00 or via Webchat and Email too. This service provide cancer information, practical information, emotional support, benefits/financial guidance or just a listening ear.
As for Travel Insurance having a blood cancer diagnosis may mean getting affordable Travel Insurance could be a challenge and at times the price could be higher than the cost of the holiday.
Do have a look through the 'recommended travel insurance' thread and this New Thread in our Travel insurance group as it's where the majority of recommendations from other forum members are. You can also look through all the individual members posts in the group as well.
