Hello, I feel I need to talk to anyone who has been given a cancer diagnosis. My husband, absolutely fit and well, diagnosed with diabetes type 2 in late November. last year He was given Metformin tabs to take as our diet plan hadn't worked. The only complaints he had was a feeling of nauseousness and achy legs and feet. After persevering with the Metformin until February this year, he went back to the Diabetic Nurse, after me pestering him. She gave him the same meds but slow release form. After a couple of weeks he stopped taken them and on 11 April we went to A & E. He was reluctant to go but I pestered him again. Our world was turned upside down after he had a full MOT of tests resulting in a diagnosis of Pancreatic cancer. Three weeks later he was gone. I think anyone diagnosed with any form of diabetes should be given a CT scan on their pancreas. After research I have found that Pancreatic cancer does not show symptoms until its generally too late. I can't believe he's gone as I am the one out of us both who has the least odds of survival. Its like a death sentence for us that are left.

I'm devastated and the children, all adults are beyond devastated
cat scans should happen with the diagnosis of diabetes, it may save livedls and that in itself is worth it. Sorry for your loss, it's so shocking and heartbreaking
