Hi all,

I don’t know where to start!
basically, I was losing weight for no reason, went to doc and after 8 months, I eventually got a cat scan. GP called and said they had found a lump on breast so was being referred to breast clinics. I had this appointment other day and they checked me over etc and all was ok breast wise but said what your gp didn’t tell you was that I have several spinal lesions and also on my rib. He is sending me for a nuclear medicine bone scan which will probably be few more weeks yet. I was so shocked and don’t ask anything!!!! Now I have had a few days to process it I just don’t know what to think!! Like are lesions tumours? What is a lesion? My brain is fried but I refuse to look at google!! Sorry, just need to vent!

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

That's great to hear that the lump in your breast has turned out fine and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that the lesions on you spine and rib are okay too.

It would probably be a good idea to post your questions about these lesions in the ask a nurse section of the online community, as the nurses there would be better placed to answer rather than us 'patients'. However, as ask a nurse is only available Monday to Friday, you might want to speak to a nurse on the Macmillan Support Line if you'd rather know sooner rather than later. You can call them free on 0808 808 0000 every day of the week between 8am and 8pm.

    Sending ((hugs))
