Hi everyone. I am just so pleased I have found this forum. Just desperate for some advice. I have been exhausted for the last year. i.e. can sleep for 30hrs at a time. Cannot get out of bed sometimes due to widespread pain. Bloods last August showed my WBC to be below normal. I started having nosebleeds, I am covered in bruises, have a low grade temperature most of the time and I have continual hot flushes although I am on Hrt. The gp at my last phone consultation told me it was either due to drinking too much alcohol or the fact that I use Oramorph now and again for pain relief. ( I have Rheumatoid Arthritis). I noticed a swelling/lump under my right armpit which I think has been there for a few months and was told I would get a routine ultrasound in due course. That it wasn't urgent as I had no other relevant symptoms. I am posting now as I am aware that have a smaller swelling now in my left one. I am probably worrying about nothing but should I ask to see a different doctor? My sincere apologies if I have wasted anyone's time reading this. I just wasn't sure where to get advice. Thank you ps my last bloods showed WBC even lower with high TSH and T4. Don't know if that's relevant.
Hi OTIS
It's always worrying when you have unexplained symptoms, but you're done the right thing in seeing your GP who, in turn, has referred you for further investigation.
Any new symptoms should always be brought to the GP's attention so making a new appointment would be a good idea.
Wishing you all the best
