  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I'm going to recommend that you join and post in the anal cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.

To join, just click on the link I've created which will take you straight there. Once you've joined you can start a new post in the same way as you did here, and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.

  • Hi,

I’ve been diagnosed with Anal Squamous Cell Carcinoma stage 2 and start my radio Chemoradiation on the 13 June 2023, no idea what to expect to be honest other than what I’ve read. Disappointed I cannot get to the technical side of the treatment and how it works in the Anus and particularly the depth of radiation into my soft tissues and particularly prostate area, will pick their brains once I’m there

  • Hi  and welcome to the online community.

You could join the anal cancer group and ask your technical questions there as there may be members who have already asked the questions you're interested in.
