Hello I‘m Anne,

I had Endometrial Cancer.  I’m very lucky, they caught it early, and I‘m now fully recovered.

But as precautionary measure I had a hysterectomy.  This brought on an early menopause.  I was advised that the menopausal symptoms would be more severe than with a natural menopause.

I‘m wondering if anyone has had a similar experience, if so, I‘d grateful for any advice on managing menopausal symptoms.

Sorry if I sound like I‘m whining See no evil

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

That's great to read that after following treatment for endometrial cancer you are now fully recovered.

As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I'm going to recommend that you join the womb cancer group, because it will give you the opportunity to connect with others who can share their experiences of an early menopause with you.

To join just click on the link I've created which will take you directly there. You can then join and start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
