Got told yesterday I have a form of skin cancer

Hi Cats91 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that you have recently been diagnosed with skin cancer and I know personally what a shock this will have been for you.

The online community is divided up into different support groups and, as you haven't said what type of skin cancer you have, I'm going to give you links to the two that might apply to you. The first is the skin cancer group where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support mainly about basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).

The second group is the melanoma group, which as it's name suggests, is a great place to talk to others who have melanoma if this is what you've been diagnosed with.

To join the appropriate group, just click on the link I've created which will take you straight there. Once you've joined you can start a new post in the same way as you did here, and join in with existing threads by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway.
