A few weeks ago my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer. It came as a big shock to all of us, this is the first person in his side of the family to have cancer. He's decided to go to radiology thereapy to sap the cancer. Its 2mm long but near the right side of his prostate. I am personally in shock, we've been through lots of big medical things but this is one thing too many to cope with. First of my dad was in and out of hospital with cardiac things - heart attack - bad angina. Then mum got cancer non hodgkinsons lymphoma, she lasted a year before she died of it. My daughter has had a heart transplant, and has a lot of medical things wrong. One of which is epilepsy. I am pre diabetic, asmathic, and have a lot of allergies, so this is one thing I am finding really hard to cope with. He has had one round of medication, and an injection and has to have another injection and then the radiotherapy starts. Which I am dreading. As it is I feel overwelhmed as he has has always been the healthy one.
