Hi all :)

I'm 28 years old. I've recently had two surgical biopsies done and awaiting my results!

I've been to 3 different doctors, the first two dismissed me saying it was mastitis (I've never been pregnant or breastfed), the third doctor straight away referred me under the 2WW and my new surgeon who completed my biopsies said it definitely isn't an infection.

The symptoms came on very suddenly... tender and hot breast, a rash that spread across both breasts, extreme fatigue and tiredness and some pain, etc.

They said it's likely to be cancer and I'm just looking for somewhere to write down my thoughts and feelings.

I'm quite scared, but I'm trying to stay positive! My girlfriend has been my rock through it all so far.

If anyone needs a friend or someone to speak to, my inbox is always open :)

  • Hi  and welcome to the Online Community but I am sorry to hear about your ongoing diagnoses.

Navigating a cancer diagnosis can be such a stressful and challenging time but getting support from others who are dealing with the ‘exact same' cancer type can help a lot.

I see that you have already joined and posted in a number of our support group. These groups are safe places to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.

Our Support Line teams are available 7 days a week, 8am-8pm on freephone 0808 808 00 00email or live webchat where you will find one of team there to help you out. We also have our Ask an Expert section but do allow a few working days for a reply.

Talking to people face to face can be very helpful so do check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support in your area, do also check for a local Maggie's Centre as these folks are amazing.

Do get back to me if you need further help.
