hiya

i have just been diagnosed 4/5/23 with a 6,7cm frontal lobe brain tumour after having seizures for 6mnths and also looking after my husband who sadly passed away with bowel cancer in dec 22, i am so frightened, i am all alone, i have got family but they are scattered around the world, i am so grateful that i do have 3 very good friends, but i just feel so overwhelmed, confused, knocked to six with the news, i have got an appointment with the neurologists on tuesday 9th may, they havent said what type it is or info yet, so i will just have to wait and see. thank you

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that you've recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour and I know how difficult it will be to come to terms with right now.

I can see that you've already found and joined the brain cancer group and, when you feel ready to post there, I'm sure you'll find it's a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and proposed treatment, once you know more, into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
