I really don’t no where to start . I do start then there’s too much so I delete and start again, she’s my big sister
Why is life so cruel she has never hurt anyone, she just turned 63 only just got her own little house after living with our parents and since then had a mastectomy and three years on secondary cancer lung & now the brain she is been so brave.
We were all just beginning to relax and then October came and we got told secondary breast cancer in the lung then January it had reached the brain it took her balance away.
we’re now recovering from a tumour in the brain and Gamma knife surgery I try to stay strong as I know I have to, life is so unfair.
Hi Kaizer and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read that your sister has secondary breast cancer and I know how difficult having a cancer diagnosis can be for the whole family.
As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I'm going to recommend that you join the secondary breast cancer group as that will give you the chance to ask questions and share experiences with others who are affected by this type of cancer.
Another group for you to consider is the family and friends and group, which you'll find is a safe and supportive place to share your worries and emotions with others who have someone they love living with cancer.
To join just click on the links I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here, and join in with existing conversations by clicking on reply.
You say you need to "stay strong as I know I have to" but you really don't. It's not possible to be like that all the time and it's perfectly okay to have a meltdown now and again. 'Staying strong' and 'having to be positive' are all common cancer myths which can make people's lives a misery if they feel that they're not living up to what they think is expected of them.
It would be great if you could pop something about your sister's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
