Hello. I'm new to this.

I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer Friday just gone. I am absolutely terrified.  Had mammogram 2 weeks ago then scan and biopsy told me Friday just gone that I have breast cancer and needed a CT scan which I had Sunday evening. Got an appointment on the 28th with consultant for a care plan.

  • Hi  and welcome to the Online Community but I am sorry to hear about your diagnoses. Navigating the cancer journey can be such a stressful and challenging time but getting support from others who are dealing with the ‘exact same' cancer type can help a lot.

The Community is actually divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) but I do see that you have already found and joined our supportive Breast cancer support group. This is a safe place to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.

To connect with the group first click on the “Bold Link” I have created above then once the group page opens you can then put up your own post when you’re ready by clicking “+new” or “+” in the top right next to the group title. You can copy and paste the text from this post into your new post. You can also scroll through other members posts and click “Reply” to get involved.

Our Support Line teams are available 7 days a week, 8am-8pm on freephone 0808 808 00 00email or live webchat where you will find one of team there to help you out. We also have our Ask an Expert section but do allow a few working days for a reply.

Do get back to me if you need further help.

  • Hey good mum. Having recently been diagnosed myself I can empathise with how you are feeling, however I wonder if you have young children and if so this must be doubly tough. Good luck with your treatment plan. Mx

  • Hi Max51. I've got a 21year old and 13 year old. But still very tough x

  • Bless you Max51. Its heartbreaking to be told you have cancer. I hope you will have your care plan soon. I'm here if u need me x

  • My son is 23 and that’s hard enough. I never get sick and thought i was invincible. Still reeling as i’m sure you are too. Here for you too. X
