Hi I don't know if I can join here but I've had tests for ovarian cancer and bowel cancer. Ca125 is 39. Stool sample is positive. I've got all the symptoms of both, started just over a year ago. I'm having transvaginal scan in 2 days and colonoscopy in a week. Please help, I'm going crazy. I already had depression and other mental illness and this has tipped me over. I can't work, I was only working one day a week before. My kids move to their dad's a few years ago as I've been ill with extreme fatigue for years. I've got low ferritin as well and feel ill and weak. I don't know what to do, I'm going crazy. There's not much on the Internet about cancer in two places but I'm presuming it either means a large tumour or metastatisized! What do you guys think? I've been bloated for the last few months and started putting on weight but think it's mainly on the stomach. Bleeding between periods a year ago and now occult blood found in stool. Does it look like the worst case scenario might be true?I'm usually a major worrier but of this I'm just convinced basically...
Hello Worried272
You are very welcome to join the Online community here. I have found it very supportive and informative over the last year.
I am sorry that you are having tests for ovarian cancer and bowel cancer and understand how stressful this must be for you.
It is good that you have consulted a doctor about your symptoms and that you are now going to have the tests to find out what is going on. I am sorry to see that you have other health problems and these add to your worries. It is natural to sometimes fear the worst when having tests so it is good to see you are not waiting too long.
Here are some links that may be of interest to you at some point.

Going for tests | Macmillan Cancer Support
After having the tests it seems normal to wait a couple of weeks to get the results and during this time if you feel like you want to talk to someone please call the number at the bottom of this and they will be very understanding.
If you prefer there is an online chat option that I used which was helpful.
One thing I would advise is to avoid googling if you can- a lot of the information on the internet is out dated and not accurate. I worried myself silly when I was first diagnosed. I would recommend sticking to Macmillan. It is accurate and up to date. The links above may help.
If you need any further support please ask but well done for taking the first step and consulting your doctor about the symptoms that are worrying you and once you have the tests and the results you will know what you are dealing with and what needs to happen.
I actually felt better in myself once I had a diagnosis for definite and had a plan.
I hope that your scan and colonoscopy goes as well as they can.
Take care
Jane
It is really hard to remain calm while you are having these tests. I hope you have answers soon.
