My sister has just been diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma stage 3 , she has her PICC Line being fitted next week and starts Chemotherapy the week after.

  • Hi  and welcome to the Online Community but so sorry to hear about your sisters HL diagnosis.

I am Mike and I help out around our Lymphoma Groups, I don’t have Hodgkin's Lymphoma but I was diagnosed way back in 1999 at 43 with a rare, incurable but treatable type of Low Grade NHL eventually reaching Stage 4a in late 2013 so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ is different I do appreciate the challenges of this journey rather well.

The Community is actually divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) so can I recommend you consider joining our supportive Hodgkin lymphoma support group. This is a safe place to talk to others who may have a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support from family members who are navigating the same journey.

To join a group first click on the “Bold Link” I have created above then once the group page opens click on “Click to Join” when the black banner appears or “Join” under “Group Tools” (this all depends on the device you are using)

You can then put up your own post when you’re ready by clicking “+new” or “+” in the top right next to the group title.

I will keep an eye open for you in the group and I can answer questions as best as I can.

  • Hi Sel, I've just joined and searched for "Hodgkins lymphoma" and yours was the first message that came up. My sister also has Hodgkins and is going through chemotherapy. She's just finished her 4th round and is being rescanned on Friday. Sadly she moved out to Dubai just before her diagnosis so I'm feeling very far away from her. How is your sister doing now?
