  • Hi I’ve breast cancer stage 2B and started my chemo l10 days ago, my next one is due in 11 days , the incessant diarhhea, nausea and stomach cramps I’ve experienced non stop since last mibdat are making me feel so Ill I actually am dreading the next cycle and just cannot see how I will function as I can’t function at the moment without being near a toilet , I literally can’t even walk to the end of the road with the dog without needing to return home quickly . I’m taking all the meds , drinking water non stop , crackers , rich tea biscuits . I’m so tired and the smell of food , perfume eyc is making me gag constantly, I want to fight this and be positive but it’s so debilitating at the moment , I wanted to rest and continue to work between cycles but impossible at moment , my mouth is full ulcers and now today I’m getting acne like spots all up my neck and face . Every hour drags by in constant nausea and I feel sorry for my kids ss I’m just not there for them at all at the moment . I’ve rang and checked through all my meds and am on appropriate ones . Help x
  • Hi   and welcome to the Online Community but I am sorry to hear about your diagnoses and ongoing challenges.

The cancer journey can be such a stressful and challenging time but reaching out to the community will give you the opportunity to ask questions, and getting support….. but although I can relate to the issues you are having as I had the same over my 23 years treatment journey, my cancer type is completely different so you would be far better talking with others who are navigating the ‘exact’ same cancer journey.

The Community is actually divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) so can I recommend consider joining our dedicated Breast cancer support group. This is a safe place to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.

To join a group first click on the “Bold Link” I have created above then once the group page opens click on “Click to Join” when the black banner appears or “Join” under “Group Tools” (this all depends on the device you are using)

You can then put up your own post when you’re ready by clicking “+new” or “+” in the top right next to the group title. You can copy and paste the text from this post into your new post. You can also scroll through other members posts and click “Reply” to get involved.

Our Support Line teams are available 7 days a week, 8am-8pm on freephone 0808 808 00 00email or live webchat where you will find one of team there to help you out. We also have our Ask an Expert section but do allow a few working days for a reply.

Talking to people face to face can be very helpful so do check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support in your area, do also check for a local Maggie's Centre as these folks are amazing.

Do get back to me if you need further help.
