  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that your mum is being troubled with severe cramps which is preventing her from sleeping. Having had chemo myself, I know your mum will have been given a 24 hour a day contact number for the chemo unit and she should give the number a call to see what they can recommend. Also, if any medication to help with the cramps needs to be prescribed the unit can organise this as well.

As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I'm going to recommend that you join the non-Hodgkin lymphoma group as it's a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others who may also have experienced cramps while on chemo.

To join the group, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here, and join in with existing conversations by clicking on reply.

It would be great if you could pop something about your mum's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Thank you so much for your help and guidance , it's been really useful and I will let her know . Xx  I am sending you lots of positivity and love xxxx

  • Good morning  do come over and introduce yourself and your mum to the General Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma as you will connect with people who know the treatment journey for NHL very well including myself as I have been on my journey for over 23 years.

I have also put up a reply to your post about cramps in the general Chemotherapy Group.
