Hi,my name is Tony. I've recently been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate. I'm on hormone therapy, and am soon to have my first cycle of 6 chemotherapy sessions.
I'd like to ask anyone about side effects and the reality of staying working after having these ,they will be one every three weeks.
I am wondering how long after the injection I might feel ill for.
Thanks.
Hi Tony T
Welcome to our community though sorry to hear about what you are going through. My knowledge of prostrate cancer is very much second hand due to friends and colleagues coming to talk to me about it.
If we look at our main pages on prostrate cancer we can see it talks about treatment and what might happen after treatment. It may also be worth looking at our Prostrate cancer group as there will be plenty of people on their talking about their experience and what helped them,
In terms of working it might also be helpful if we look at our pages on work and cancer as I hope you employer provides the kind of support that is expected.
Hope that helps some, do post here whenever as we all know how difficult things can be and our team is wonderful.
<<hugs>>
Steve
