I had my first chemo on Thursday. (RCHOP for NHL). I am getting very random minor aches and pains. In lower back, ankles, pelvic area and breasts. A little bit like some of the aches and pains I remember getting in early pregnancy (although that was over 30 years ago). Is this fairly normal? Have others had it?
Hi Jeano and warm welcome to the Macmillan Online Community although sorry that you had to find us and especially sorry to hear about your Lymphoma diagnosis.
I am Mike and I help out around our Lymphoma groups. I was diagnosed way back in 1999 at 43 with a rare, incurable but treatable type of Low Grade NHL eventually reaching Stage 4a in late 2013 so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ may be different I do appreciate the challenges of this journey rather well.
What you are experiencing is totally normal. To help you navigate this journey it would be good if you connect up with our Lymphoma groups and these are our main Lymphoma groups listed below.
General Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma
These are safe places to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.
To join a group first click on the “Bold Link” I have created above and join the best group for your type of NHL…… once the group page opens click on “Click to Join” when the black banner appears or “Join” under “Group Tools” (this all depends on the device you are using)
You can then put up your own post when you’re ready by clicking “+new” or “+” in the top right next to the group title. You can copy and paste the text from this post into your new post.
I will keep an eye open for you but if you are not sure what type you have pleased do get back to me on this post and I will help you out further.
Thank you. I have DLBCL. Stage one, so caught early and only 3 rounds of chemo + radiotherapy to endure. I will join the DLBCL group
Yes do join the Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma group and put up a post
I too have Stage 1A DLBCL. They told me that I will have 3-4 rounds of chemo and some radiotherapy. I have had two rounds of chemo and a CT Scan was done last week. I go in for round 3 this Friday. Hoping the CT Scan showed good results.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
