First time using this site.  Hope I’m doing this right.  Why am I nervous?!!

husband has been told his prostate cancer is still there after radiotherapy two years ago.

it hasn’t spread and his reading is 0.24 and he has an mri on Monday and bloods will be arranged and will be having laser surgery.

anyone know how this is done?  Does it need him to be ‘opened up’ so to speak?

thank you to anyone’s commenting

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that your husband's prostate cancer has returned and it's natural to want to speak to others who have been through the same thing.

As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I'm going to recommend that you join and post in the prostate cancer group, which is a great place to ask your questions, share experiences and get support from others.

To join just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here, and join in with existing conversations by clicking on reply.

It would be great if you could pop something about your husband's diagnosis into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
