Hello.
I had my biopsy a couple of weeks ago and the initial phone call to say it’s not good news, waiting for the initial appointment and pelvic MRI and chest X Ray, is this to determine if it’s spread or not?
how on earth do I cope with all the waiting? Hence me writing this post at 3.45am. With one phone call, my life has been turned upside down.
I lost my mum to stomach cancer 18 months ago, so have seen first hand every detail of this cruel disease, all I can think about is the worst case scenario! How the hell do I prepare for the news I’m going to receive? I’m trying to remain strong in hoping it’s been caught early, but my mind is whirling out of control and I’m fearing the worst.
Stages, grades, every pain I’ve had now, I’m fearing the worst!
Hi Lore and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
It's natural to be scared after you've received a cancer diagnosis but most of us find that after we have a treatment plan in place we feel much more in control of the situation.
As you know, the online community is divided up into different support groups and I can see that you've joined the womb cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others.
When you feel ready to post there you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and also join in with existing conversations by clicking on reply.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
