  1. Hi, I had my operation last September for radical vulvectomy, and sentinal lymph nodes in groin removed. I got the all clear in October, the cancer hadn't spread to my lymph nodes,so no further treatment needed. I have had a follow up appointment, and that was good too. I was happy and so relieved at first, but now any health problems I get,ie upset stomach, back pain, I just think the worst, that it's cancer. Hope this worry and anxiety passes soon. X
  • Hi  and welcome to the Online Community but I am sorry to hear about your diagnoses and the challenges your are facing.

The cancer journey can be such a stressful and challenging time but reaching out to the community will give you the opportunity to ask questions and getting support from others who are on the ‘exact’ same cancer journey.

The Community is divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) and I see that you have already joined our Vulva cancer forum support group. This is a safe place to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.

If you'd like to connect in with a group click on the Bold Group Link I have created above and join the group. You can then introduce yourself by putting up your own post (copy and paste the text from this post) or replying to existing posts.

Our Support Line teams are available 7 days a week, 8am-8pm on freephone 0808 808 00 00email or live webchat we also have our Ask an Expert section but do allow a few working days for a reply.

Talking to people face to face can be very helpful so do check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support in your area, do also check for a local Maggie's Centre as these folks are amazing.

Do get back to me if you need further help.
