Hi All
I'm new to the group and joined because I have a problem with travel insurance. Basically, I have recently had an operation for lung cancer and as a result have to have chest X-Rays every three or four months. So, when asked if I'm waiting for any results at present, by the insurance Co. I can say no. But when I explain the situation they say , "try somewhere else." I hope others who have had similar problems might be able to point me in the right direction.
I hope that through the Community Forum I might also be able to help others as I have had treatment for bo th Prostate Cancer and Lung Cancer.

Hi Joseff and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
Unfortunately, as you've found, it can be more difficult to get travel insurance when you've had a cancer diagnosis
As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I'm going to recommend that you join us over in the travel insurance group.
To join just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, look for the thread called 'Recommended Travel Insurance' as it's where the majority of recommendations are to be found. This is not to be confused with the thread called 'recommended travel insurance 2023' which only has a couple of recommendations there at the moment.
It's very kind of you to want to help others by sharing your experience with prostate and lung cancer. If you lick on these links to the prostate cancer group and lung cancer group you will then be able to post questions, share experiences and give and receive support.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
