Hello,
My husband started chemotherapy and radiotherapy last Monday for stage 3 tonsil cancer spread to his lymph nodes. I’m struggling more than anyone knows and I’m not sure where I can go to get further support? I have phoned Macmillan a couple of times and they have been amazing but I feel like maybe I need something more consistent.
I have a 1 year old and a 3 year old and I’m working 1 night a week as a paramedic so I guess life was already slightly overwhelming at times and I just can’t come to terms with my husbands diagnosis, the thought of watching him go on a horrible journey and not being able to help and feel like inside im already pushing him away a bit.

Hello JD10. I am Dani and I'm one of the Community Champs who hang out in the Head and Neck Cancer Group I finished treatment for base of tongue cancer (more ore less the same as tonsil cancer) more than. four years ago. I'm well and pretty normal. He will get through and you can help. You will both surprise yourself. It's a challenging road for both of you but you will get there. Likely his cancer is driven by the HPV virus and it's a very curable one. Come over to our group. There are lots of us to help and quite a few who are around the same stage your husband is. Just click on the link I've made in red and introduce yourself
