I have just been diagnosed with breast cancer, planned lump removal followed by radiology .
My husband and I both work full time with reasonable wages so realise how much of a loss of income going on ssp will be.
Not used benefit system for ages ,any advice on what if any help I can get .
I live in council house , have no young children .
Welcome to our community though sorry to hear about your diagnosis, it is always quite a shock. You might find it helpful to look at and perhaps introduce yourself on our Breast cancer forum where we have a very active group talking about how life is affecting them.
In a more direct reply to your question we could look at Money and work where there is a lot of information.
Hope that helps
<<hugs>>
Steve
This is not any easy question to answer as it all depends on circumstances. If your Macmillann nurse has not asked for a financial review to be carried out I would contact them to ask for a referral.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
