I don't really know what to do or if i'm a fraud for being here.
I've got no symptoms or pains but they've found a large cyst on my ovary 7x5 which looks dermoid (routine scan for something else). My ca 125 levels are fine as are other markers / blood OTHER than ca19.9.
I'm off for an MRI this weekend and if the cyst looks like it's the problem then out it comes pretty soon and that i can deal with. I think.
But if it doesn't then we need to see if there is cancer in the lung / pancreas and bowel with other imaging.
I'm so scared of people and places and i've been in tears since Tuesday when my blood tests came back. I don't want sedatives .. i just want to know now what i'm dealing with. I can't barely breath i'm losing it so much.
I have no one to talk to and my consultant said don't worry too much right now it might not be pancreatic / worst case. But there isn't much on the internet about that cancer marker that isn't the worst case. It all looks bad. I've got a son and he's not ready for this.
Where do we go and what do we do ? I've got to stop crying at some point.
Hi Lizzieinapickle and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
Waiting for tests and then the results can be very hard but you've come to the right place for support.
As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I'm going to recommend that you join the ovarian cancer group, not because I think you have cancer but because it's a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others who have been where you are now.
To join just click on the link I've created which will take you directly there. You can then join and start a new post in the same way as you did here, and join in with existing conversations by clicking on reply.
It would be great if you could pop something about your tests so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
