This is my first post. I visited the hospital on Tuesday and was told that the cancer has spread throughout my liver. It doesn’t seem as though there is much they can do to help me. I am 52 years old and have a 15 and 22 year old to care for. I’m so focused on my husband and children that I can’t function at the moment. I’m also really afraid of the pain that I’ll be in as this hasn’t been explained to me.
Hi Eller and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I'm going to recommend that you join the liver cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and give and receive support.
To join just click on the link I've created which will take you directly there. You can then join and start a new post in the same way as you did here, and join in with existing conversations by clicking on reply.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
