This is my first post, I have a family member who has had a very late diagnosis and is unable to have treatment. It’s a big shock and they are being cared for at home, as is their choice. We are now in the last days and they are getting very agitated. I feel so helpless. How will I know then we should ask for the stronger drugs to be administered ? It’s so scary
Hi Flossie64 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm very sorry to read that your family member is in their last few days and I know what a difficult time this will be for everyone.
As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I'm going to recommend that you join the supporting someone with incurable cancer group which is a great place to discuss your emotions as well as practical issues about palliative care and end of life.
To join just click on the link I've created which will take you directly there. You can then join and start a new post in the same way as you did here, and join in with existing conversations by clicking on reply.
Sending a virtual (((hug)))
Thank you so much. I’m finding it a bit tricky to navigate this forum. Brains not firing on all cylinders right now.
