Good Morning
I was recently diagnosed with BCC around 6 weeks ago by letter. I have my first appointment today with the consultant. I have tied to be very positive since I received the news but the last few days it has became harder and I am soo anxious about today. I know I need to try get my head into the right mindframe for this but I am really struggling with it. I know if I don't, I will come away not knowing everything and will of forgot what has been said.
I had a list of questions in my head that I wanted to ask? But I have woke this morning and can't remember what they were?
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hi Livelovelife and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read that you have recently been diagnosed with BCC but hopefully you'll find out today if any further treatment is needed.
The online community is divided up into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join us over in the skin cancer group as that will give you the opportunity to connect with others who have had a similar diagnosis.
To do this just click on the link I've created which will take you to the group. After you've joined you can then start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Hi Livelovelife. I am living with a BCC which as far as I've been told is not likely to do anything. I've been waiting a year to have it excised and I suspect t I will be waiting at least another. It depends where it is, of course. Mine is on my leg.
So don't panic. If it's somewhere on your face they tend to get them removed quickly but again they grow very slowly as a rule. Mine has stayed the same size for five years
