Hello I have just been diagnosed with DLBCL where the cancer has got into a bone at base of my skull

Very worried about chemo and radiation as been told it is Brutal and Horrendous

Can anyone tell me how to deal with upcoming treatments as I have been extremely nauseous and vomiting prior to the diagnosis

thanks

  • Hi  and a warm welcome to the Online Community but so sorry to hear about your diagnoses.

The blood cancer journey can be such a stressful and challenging time but you have done the right thing in reaching out to a place where you can ask questions and getting support from others who are on the ‘exact’ same cancer journey.

I am Mike and I help out in our various Lymphoma support groups, I have a different type of Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and have been through a lot of treatment but I am pleased to say I am still here over 23 years after being diagnosed doing great.

The first step is for you to join and post in our dedicated and supportive Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma support group.

This group is a safe place to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.

If you'd like to connect in with a group click on the (Bold) Group Link I have created above. Once the group page opens click on the black banner that says [click to join] at the bottom, or the [Join] button under "Group tools."

You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘new post’ by clicking in the box near the top right with + New or + (Depending on the device you are using) and you are ready to go. You could copy and paste the text from this post into your new post.

But do put any information into your post about the name of the treatment you are going to be having as this will help the group help you more

Do get back to me if you need further help but I will keep an eye open for you in the Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma group.

    Mike (Thehighlander)
