Hi everyone

Sending you all good wishes...which is the best group to chat through guilt, tiredness, anxiety-trying to support a family member full time and work full time and to be honest am in a permanent state of guilt, exhaustion, confusion and repeat...just looking to see if I can discuss and get guidance and help on dealing with a range of emotions...

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

Supporting a family member with a cancer diagnosis can be very rewarding but at the same time very tiring.

You don't say if you are your family member's carer but, if you are then the carers only group would be a good place for you. If you are not your family member's carer, then either the family and friends group or the supporting someone with incurable cancer would be good groups to join depending on whether your family member is incurable or not. All of these groups are safe and supportive places to share your emotions and worries with others who have a loved one living with cancer.

To join the appropriate group, just click on the link I've created which will take you there. You can then start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your family member's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
