  1. 4 days ago I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer after a routine mammogram. I have supportive family and friends, but today I'm very tearful. I'm glad to find online support from people who have been through this, because I'm not up to talking about it much yet.
  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I have a fairly good idea of how you might be feeling right now having had a breast cancer diagnosis after a routine mammogram myself earlier this year.

As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I'm going to recommend that you join and post in the breast cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.

To join just click on the link I've created which will take you directly there. You can then join and start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Thank you very much. Now joined the breast cancer group and edited my profile. Thanks for your technical expertise.

  • Ha, ha. I don't think anyone's ever credited me with technical expertise before.
