I need a hip replacement and have just had my 4th infusion after each one the pain levels due to my hip have got worse I am now having problems sleeping
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read that after each immunotherapy infusion the pain in your hip has got worse. I'm presuming that you've phoned the 24-hour contact number you should have for the immunotherapy team as I'm sure they'd want to try and find something to alleviate your pain.
The online community is divided up into different support groups where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support. If you could let me know what type of cancer you're being treated for, I could give you a direct link to that group where you could see if anyone else is struggling with pain after their infusions and what they've found has helped. Alternatively, you could look though this list and choose the appropriate group for you.
When you have a minute, it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
