Hello everyone

I am at my wits end and can’t stop crying .  I have been suffering from neck and shoulder pain for almost 2 years together with a horrible blocked ear and on and off dizziness . I have a very enlarged gland in my neck on the same side and  have on and off tummy problems and often feel very nauseous and unable to eat anything .

Recent  blood tests arranged by my GP showed very high blood calcium and Parathyroid hormone and I have been referred to an Endocrinologist as a matter of urgency . Another 6 weeks down the line and I am told they have no appointments to offer me and I just have to wait .

I can’t help feeling that the neck problems and dizziness are the cause of the raised calcium and PTH in my blood and things are just getting worse every day .

I am so frightened that I have a form of cancer in my neck and it has spread causing the raised calcium and PTH in my blood .

I feel really poorly at the moment .

  • Hi  and a welcome to the Online Community but so sorry to hear about the challenges you are having. Getting a clear diagnosis can at times be very challenging but I do hope that you get answers soon.

Did your GP actually refer you under the The Two-Week appointment system?....... if yes....... you need to get back to your GP and they should be following up on this for you.
