Hi new to the group.
My partner had just been diagnosed with NHL. For a few days we were quite optimistic but are now down about it.
I know nothing is normal when you have cancer, but did anyone else feel this way?
Hi Mybow and warm welcome to the Macmillan Online Community although sorry that you had to find us and especially sorry to hear about your partners Lymphoma diagnosis.
I am Mike Thehighlander and I help out around our Lymphoma groups. I was diagnosed way back in 1999 with a rare, incurable Low Grade Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma so I understand this journey rather well…. and the fact that I am here talking with you should give you some great encouragement.
There are over 60 types and subtypes of Lymphoma so we can’t have a group for every type but these are our main Lymphoma groups below.
General Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma
If you'd like to connect in with a group click on the Green (Bold) link(s) I have created above. Once the group page opens click on the black banner that says [click to join] at the bottom, or the [Join] button under "Group tools."
You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘new post’ by clicking in the box near the top right with + New or + (Depending on the device you are using) and you are ready to go.
I will keep an eye open for you but if you are not sure what type you have pleased do get back to me on this post and I will help you out further.
Do put up a post in the best group for your partners NHL and introduce yourself and partner.
Do let the group help you understand this more as the more you know about this and hear others stories the more this will help the noise between your ears calm down ((hugs))
