Hi everyone. Im 69 years old. I had a mri scan organised by general surgery nothing to do with prostate. For my pelvis and buttox area, but got call from urology nurse saying they seen something strange like shadow of the prostate, I did a psa test which was 0.9 I saw urology doctor and he said looking at the scan I say you got prostate cancer, he then asked questions about getting up during the night I said no asked about the urine flow very good any blood in urine no just normal he then said if you feel ok you can carry on has usual. And said the mri shouldn't of picked up on prostate because it was for something different. I am having a Mri scan on prostate only this time I don't think he should of said that without doing proper checks. Left me anxious.
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
Waiting for tests and results can be very stressful but it's good to be able to talk to others who have either been where you are now or are going through it too.
I can see that you've already found and joined the prostate cancer group which I'm sure you'll find is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support when you feel ready to post there.
