Greetings everyone! Just recently been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in July 2022 aged 74years old, with a Gleason Score 3+4=7

following a painless biopsy.

My care plan/treatment plan is TURP procedure/operation (17th August) and then continue with hormone manipulation therapy and radiotherapy.

I do have other co-commodities as follows…..> Alzheimer’s Dementia, COPD, Diabetes Type 2, Heart Failure and a surgical stomach.

As mentioned above I am new to this forum and have many questions to ask, and will seek advice later.

Kindest Regards…..and take care

Graham

  • Hi Graham and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that you have recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer and I know what a difficult time this might be for you.

The online community is divided up into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the prostate cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others with this type of cancer.

To join just click on the link I've created which will take you straight to the group where you can then join and post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

This link will take you to a blog which explains how to get the best out of the online community but if you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help
