Awaiting diagnosis, scared!

Hi NannyG and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

Waiting for the results of tests can be very hard and I have found that doing things I enjoy helps keep my mind away from the 'what ifs'. Do you have any hobbies or activities that you enjoy doing as now would be the time to indulge. 

Lots of people find mindfulness really helpful and if this is something that you'd like to know about clicking here will take you to the NHS website about it.

The online community is divided up into different support groups where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support. Do you know what type of cancer you are suspected of having? If so you can either look through this list to join the right group or tell me and I'll provide you with a direct link to that group.

Thank you. I have been told a scan showed a mass in my stomach,  sample taken,  awaiting diagnosis. Under the Royal Free Hospital in London. Its the waiting I don't like. Have my daughter nearby so not completely alone thank goodness xx

Okay, so if the mass is in your stomach I'm going to suggest that you join the stomach cancer group, not because I think this mass is cancerous but because it'll give you the chance to talk to others who have gone through a similar experience.
