Hi everyone I had a bone marrow biopsy just over 3 weeks ago. The area is still very sore especially when wearing trousers or sitting up straight in the car. It’s very tender to touch. Is this normal? Thanks in advance
Hi Bear2022 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry but I don't know if it's normal to still be very sore 3 weeks after having a bone marrow biopsy. Has this been done because you have been diagnosed with or suspected of having cancer?
The online community is divided up into different support groups so if you're happy to tell me what type of cancer you have/might have then I could give you a direct link to a group where you could ask your question. Alternatively you could look through this list and join the appropriate group.
If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help
x
Hi Bear2022, I have had many BMBs over my 23 years living and being treated for my rare Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and the effects have only lasted a few days at the most.
But some people do say that they have had problems that lasted much longer but as always you just need to check with your clinical team.
Hi thanks
it’s all just suspected so far due to my white blood cell and haemoglobin levels. It’s a very stressful time and pain and discomfort doesn’t help. Feel like I shouldn’t really be here because so many people of probably had the horrible news x
The community is here for everyone Bear2022, whether you are still in the diagnosis stage, are living with cancer or have recovered from it. We are all here to offer support no matter what stage you're at.
((hugs))
When you say 'suspected' has any condition been mentioned?
