Hi and Thank you for letting me join this group. I am unsure as where to go or who to ask and found this group. I was diagnosed in September 2020 with prostate cancer. i had Radiotherapy for this and i have had 2 years of injections every 3 months to combat the cancer. i am now being monitored every 6 month now with blood tests, to check my psa level.
i was seen by the McMillan nurse in June 2022 and my treatment was finished as they had successfully got my cancer under control.
I have a problem now with the wording in my letter they sent to my Dr as it mentions an Equivocal right iliac bone lesion, and right sided enlarged pelvic node. for which my Dr has not pulled up about. i am in pain in my lower back and hips with osteoporosis. can someone give me advice as to where i can get more info for these problems or do i wait to see my Dr f2f on 9th September almost 4 weeks away..
Hi Manchi and welcome to the community.
Some information can be confusing and we do need clear understanding but as the Community is peer support they/we are not best placed to give you medical advise.
But if you copy your text and put your question to our Cancer Nurse Team in our Ask an Expert section they most likely will be able to help you out - but do allow a few working days for a reply.
Hi and thank you for your reply, i have tried to copy and paste into ask a nurse, but cannot find the post button to send. to the nurse.
Yes, I just checked and the post option is not there.
This does happen when the demand on the nurses gets big. I will ask the community admin team to see if this is the case - I will get back to you.
Hi, I have been helping out on the site for over 5 years and never realised that you can only post to the Nurse Team Monday to Friday…… hand face slap……. sorry for that.
You should be able to post your question tomorrow once the admin team open up the post facility
Thanks for that mike. will do tomorrow now then
