Hello, trying to find out information on ascites, my ex partner had a full hysterectomy, but now it's in the liquid in her tummy, I believe it's called ascites, had one session of chemo, 2 more to go then scan,. She's 57 what is the prognosis for this. We know it's incurable but treatable,. I need to know all the nasty facts, thanks Bernie,
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read that your partner is suffering with ascites. I don't have any experience with this but I'm sure if you post your question in the ovarian cancer group, which I can see that you've joined, the ladies over there will help you if they can.
It would be great if you could pop something about about your partner's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help
