Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer last year after a routine mammogram. I had surgery to remove both tumors, then a second surgery to strip the lymph glands under one arm. I had radiotherapy last August and was put onto Letrozole for a minimum of Eight years. I have been quite calm about it all, I'm a widow so it's not been easy but it had to be done. I'm now having some pretty annoying side effects from the Letrozole. Fatigue which has been helped a bit by taking a vitamin D supplement, used stomach which comes and goes, carpel tunnel which can be very painful, but now I am suffering stitch like pain in both calves, and now the soles of my feet feel like I'm walking on a rolled up sock, does anyone else suffer from this and if so is there anything that can relieve it?
Hi Kez 14 and a welcome to the Online Community although I am so sorry to see you joining us and to hear about your diagnoses and ongoing challenges.
A cancer diagnosis can be such a stressful time but when it comes to support there is nothing better than talking with others who are in the same position.
The Community has various support groups (discussion rooms) so can I recommend that you consider joining our supportive Breast cancer group. This is a safe place to talk to others who may have a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.
If you'd like to connect in with a group click on the Green (Bold) link I have created above. Then once the group page opens click on the black banner that says [click to join] at the bottom, or the [Join] button under "Group tools."
You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘new post’ by clicking in the box near the top right with + New or + (Depending on the device you are using) and you are ready to go. You could copy and paste the text from this post into your new post.
