Hi,
I’m totally new to this website.
My 80 yr old mum was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma only yesterday. About 40yrs ago she fought Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and now can’t believe this new diagnosis.
My dad died 10yrs ago of bowel cancer……so hear we go AGAIN!!!!
I feel ok and Mum has accepted her news. The worse time was waiting for 2 wks for biopsy result as the haematologist was on holiday.
But waiting now for PET scan ……very early stages really.
My questions are—— do people loose their hair and does chemo or radiotherapy make you sick?
Hi and a warm welcome to the Community although I am always sorry to see folks joining us. I am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups.
I don’t have HL but I was diagnosed back in 1999 with a rare, incurable type of NHL Stage 4a so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ is different I appreciate the challenges of this journey well.
I see you have put a post up in the Hodgkin lymphoma group so I will reply more specifically on that post,
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
