Hi all. My husband diagnosed diagnosed with terminal lung cancer last August.  Was having immotherapy but had a bad reaction to fifth round and ended up in hospital for 3 weeks now home but on oxygen for 15hours a day  hoping to restart his treatment next month. I am working full time as well as caring for him but feel drained all the time. Just wondering how others cope

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm really sorry to read that your husband has terminal lung cancer and I can understand why you'd want to find out how others are coping working full time as well as caring for a loved one.

As you know, the online community is divided up into different support groups and I can see that you've already found and joined the supporting someone with incurable cancer group which is a great place to connect with others who have a loved one with an incurable or terminal diagnosis.

Once you feel ready to post there I'm sure you'll find it's a safe and supportive place to discuss your worries and emotions as well as practical issues.

Clicking on the link I've created will take you to the group where you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your husband's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
