Hi Knitter 22 and warm welcome to the Macmillan Online Community although sorry that you had to find us and especially sorry to hear about your Husbands Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (NHL) diagnosis.
I am Mike Thehighlander and I help out around our Lymphoma groups. I was diagnosed back in 1999 with a rare skin NHL so have been on this journey rather a long time.
I have no answer about your concerns about the pungent snell that you are aware of but when a cancer diagnosis comes into the family we do tend to overthink a lot. If you are concerned especially if he is unwell or distressed you call 111 and ask for advise.
You may want to join our General Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma group where you will connect with others who are living with their NHL or are supporting family on their journey.
If you'd like to connect in with a group click on the Green (Bold) link I have created above. Then once the group page opens click on the black banner that says [click to join] at the bottom, or the [Join] button under "Group tools."
You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘new post’ by clicking in the box near the top right with + New or + (Depending on the device you are using) and you are ready to go.
I will keep an eye open for you in the NHL group but if you are not sure get back to me on this post and I will help you out further.
Thankyou so much for your reply , sorry to hear you've gone through this for all that time ,maybe we'll feel more at ease once we know more what to expect , he also has hypertutism which means he has low immunity so it could be all linked , when he's off it he has to have extra hydrocortisone , hopefully we'll know more this week when different consultants have spoken , thanks again Lynne Knitter22
Hi Lynne, yes I have been on my journey a long time but at the moment I am in remission and doing great (hit my community name to see my story)
Do please join the General Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma group and set up a post and introduce you and your husband to the group as the group is there to help you both navigate this journey ((hugs))
