Hello, for the past week, I've had a near constant dull ache in my right testicle, I've had a felt for lumps but I don't think I have any.
What does this mean? I have family history of testicular cancer as it nearly took my cousin from us because he didn't notice it until it spread to his lungs, so as you can probably tell I'm a bit worried.
Thanks in advance
Joe
Hi Joe and a warm welcome to the Online Community although I am so sorry to see you joining us.
I can understand your concerns about the near constant dull ache you are having in your testicle and more so due to your cousins experiences.
As a community of people who have cancer or are supporting family with their cancer we are not experts, but what we do all know is the quicker these things are checked out the better and I thing your cousins experience is evidence of this.
So if you have not been to see your GP you make an appointment as soon as possible. If you have been to see your GP in the past but the ache continues then you need to go back.
Health concerns can be so stressful and challenging but when it comes to support there is nothing better than talking with others who have been on the same pathway.
The Community has various cancer specific support groups (chat rooms) so can I recommend that you consider joining our supportive Testicular cancer group. This will be a safe place to talk to others who may have a similar experience, to ask questions and get support.
If you'd like to connect in with a group click on the Green (Bold) link I have created above. Then once the group page opens click on the black banner that says [click to join] at the bottom, or the [Join] button under "Group tools."
You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘new post’ by clicking in the box near the top right with + New or + (Depending on the device you are using) and you are ready to go.
You could copy and paste the text from this post into your new post and as always you can reply to existing ‘Discussions’ by click [reply].
