Hi. I’m new to the group and was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer but still in the early stages. Tomorrow is my fifth cycle of chemo and I’m so nervous as I’ve been Ill after each one though it has got better thanks to the cancer nurses and everyone sorting me medication. My last cycle is in July and then I have surgery. I’ll be glad when it’s all over as I can’t cope with the exhaustion and seeing my energy levels drop especially when I see I can’t walk as far, I’ve already quit the gym as I’m too tired.

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read what a hard time you're having while going through chemotherapy. I will be starting this soon as adjuvant treatment after having had a lumpectomy for Grade 3 breast cancer.

As the online community is divided up into different support groups I'm going to recommend that you join the breast cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others with the same type of cancer.

To join just click on the link I've created and then join and post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

When you feel up to it it would be good if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help
