Been referred to breast clinic by gp yesterday he said they always refer any lumps&bumps did sau much really. But it could take up to 2 weeks to receive letter.Anxiey is hit me so badly I'm looking for coping strategies and to talk to anyone in simular situation.
Hi
Waiting for tests and a possible diagnosis is always a stressful time. I can see that you were diagnosed with cervical cancer a few years ago. Have you tried the same coping strategies this time as you did last time? I find that the best thing for me is to fill my time doing things I enjoy so I don't have too much time to worry about the 'what ifs'.
As you know the online community is divided up into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the breast cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support. This is not because I think your lump is going to turn out to be breast cancer but because there you'll connect with others in the same situation as yourself, along with others who can tell you how they coped.
To join just click on the link I've created and then join and start a new post in the same way as you did in the cervical cancer group. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you have a minute it would be great if you could update your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile' and then 'Edit'.

Why are you telling.me that is going to be breast cancer before I even no myself?now my anxiety is sky high?
Why are you saying that to me before I even no myself mow I am even more Anxious than ever.
Hi
I have no way of knowing whether you have breast cancer or not and said, when recommending the group, that:
"This is not because I think your lump is going to turn out to be breast cancer but because there you'll connect with others in the same situation as yourself, along with others who can tell you how they coped."
I'm very sorry for any confusion I've caused you.
Edit - my original reply didn't have the word 'not' in bold but I've put it in this reply so it stands out more.

Ok thankuou I'm not concentrating very well at the moment
There's no need to apologise , I know how stressful this time is.
I had a lumpectomy and lymph node biopsy nearly 3 weeks ago now for a small lump that was picked up on a mammogram. I have my results on Monday
(((hugs)))
It is so hard waiting I cant seem to concentrate on anything my anxiety is very high at the moment cant seem to take my mind off it at all no let up
I find doing things that I enjoy helps me to keep my mind focused and away from worrying. I know some people find mindfulness really helpful and I believe there are free apps you can download if this is something that you fancy trying.
