just a quick to say hello to this community, I’ve just joined. I must say that Macmillan have been an amazing organisation supporting me over the last few weeks and I’m looking to get involved more with this forum. Happy to meet you all! Steve

  • Hi  and a warm welcome to the Online Community and I am so pleased that you have found the support you have received from Macmillan amazing.

A cancer diagnosis can be stressful and challenging but the Online Community is just one of the many support platforms available. The community a safe place to get support, ask your questions and give support.

If you are interested in getting involved you may want to have a look through this list where you will find all our many dedicated cancer support groups listed.

These groups are safe places to talk to others who may have a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions, get and give support.

If you'd like to connect in with a group click on the Green (Bold) link I have created above. Then once you find a group you want to collect in with click on the black banner that says [click to join] at the bottom, or the [Joinbutton under "Group tools."

You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘new post’ by clicking in the box near the top right with + New or + (Depending on the device you are using) and you are ready to go and as always you can reply to existing ‘Discussions’ by click [reply].

You may want to consider putting some information into your profile as this helps others when replying to you and when folks are looking for someone on a similar journey…. and you don't have to keep repeating yourself. You can find your ‘Profile’ section by clicking on your username and as always you can click on any member to see their story….. although my story is rather long.

Always around if you need further help in navigating the community.

    All the very best.
